Terms of use
The rules for using doodlesaveinc.com and our client portal, and a plain-English summary of the terms every project agreement is built on. The signed agreement and our full General Terms always come first.
1. About these terms
doodlesaveinc.com is run by DOODLESAVE INC., a corporation incorporated under the laws of Ontario (Ontario Corporation No. 1001543461) and based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Project work is governed by the written agreement we sign with each client and our General Terms, which are attached to every agreement. Section 6 summarises them; if anything here differs from a signed agreement, the agreement wins.
2. Using this website
- The guides and other content on this site are general information about websites and technology. They are not legal, tax or financial advice.
- Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it at scale, or send spam or harmful content through the enquiry form.
- Links to other websites are for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.
3. Prices and quotes
Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars, exclude taxes and are introductory rates held until 31 December 2026. They are not an offer: the price, scope and timeline that apply to you are the ones in your written quote or agreement. Running costs such as hosting, domains and payment processing are billed to you directly by the providers.
4. Our content
The text, design, graphics and code of this site belong to DOODLESAVE INC. or are used with permission. You may view and share pages for your own reference, but not copy or republish them without our written consent. Client names, logos and screenshots belong to those clients and are shown with their permission.
5. The client portal
- Portal accounts are created by us for clients; there is no public sign-up.
- Keep your login private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Only upload material you have the right to share. We may suspend access that puts the portal or other clients at risk.
6. Project terms in brief
- Agreement. A project starts once you accept our agreement, in writing or by paying the advance. Our General Terms apply to every agreement, change order and invoice.
- Scope and changes. We deliver what the agreement describes. Anything else is a change request, priced and confirmed in writing before we do it.
- Payment. 75% of the fee is paid before work begins on websites, and 70% on apps and software. The advance is non-refundable once work has begun. The balance is due on completion, before launch or handover. Invoices are due within 7 days, and you should only ever pay to the details printed on our invoice.
- Late payment. Overdue amounts bear interest at 1.5% per month, and we may pause work until the account is up to date.
- Revisions. Three rounds of revisions are included, one on the one-page site. Further rounds are priced on the rate card.
- Approval. You have 5 business days to approve each deliverable or report specific defects.
- Ownership. When you have paid in full, we assign you the copyright in the work made specifically for you. We keep our own pre-existing tools and code and give you a permanent licence to use them in your project.
- Your accounts. Domains, hosting and other services are registered in your name and paid by you, so you are never locked in.
- Warranty. We fix defects in our own work reported within 30 days of launch at no charge. We don't guarantee rankings, traffic, enquiries or sales.
- Liability. Our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid for it in the 12 months before a claim, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss.
- Cancellation. You can cancel in writing at any time; the advance is kept and work done beyond it is invoiced.
The full General Terms are attached to every quote and agreement. To read them before you commit, ask us for a copy.
7. Disclaimer and liability
We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content, except where the law doesn't allow that to be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario sitting in Thunder Bay have jurisdiction over any dispute.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: contact@doodlesaveinc.com or +1 (647) 548-7522. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
